About Chad

Hello, everyone. My name is Chad.About Chad

Allow me just a few moments to tell you a little bit about my journey and why I made some of the decisions that have changed and are continuing to change my life.

Keep in mind, my life, just like yours, is a work in progress. I’m constantly learning and refining my processes.

I had a great childhood. My parents were great providers and went out of their way to teach me everything they could about money, hard work, and life.

I learned the value of a dollar and saving for things that I really wanted.

I had dreams and aspirations and was genuinely happy. I met the love of my life in 7th grade and by the end of our sophomore year in high school we were dating. We’ve been together ever since and now have our first child together.

During my senior year of high school, I took a business management and accounting course that I absolutely loved. It taught me the basics of business and I couldn’t wait to get out into the real world and start my very own business. I also wanted to work in the financial sector as well and could see myself dominating the banking market.

When I was 16 years old I took my first job at a local department store. I worked in the housewares section. Yeah…at 16 I could tell you everything you ever wanted to know about non-stick pans and why the high dollar Calphalon skillets were actually worth the $100 price tag.

I sold bed linens and made a lot of great connections with my customers. I was in heaven making my whopping $5.25 an hour!

I worked there for 2 years before going full time right after graduation.

My second job I was only there for 2 weeks, it was at an office supply store where I was already dominating the sales matrix with my PC sales. I loved computers as well and was sharing with my customers why the Pentium was so much better than the Celeron in terms of processing power.

I was looking to possibly get into college and start working towards a degree in business management.

However, my dad was also working at one of the highest paying factories in central Ohio. He knew that my 5 or 6 dollars an hour weren’t going to cut it in the real world so he put my name in for employment consideration.

They called me soon after and offered me an interview. The top pay was over $16.00 an hour. They offered me the job and I ran towards it like it was a gold mine!

Unfortunately, shortly after I started I quickly became complacent and the shackles of the new “trap” tightened a little bit more with every paycheck. I was making a lot of money and didn’t have to do any of the boring studying and applying myself. I just showed up, did my job, and went home.

The problem is, after 14 years I had destroyed my back, neck, and shoulder. I was on regular painkillers and doing everything I could just to make it in another day. Every doctor and specialist I seen all said the same thing. “You really need to look for another line of work or you will be facing some serious surgery.” I always responded with, “cool, are you hiring?”

They never offered me a job…

So, after I had finally had enough it was time to move on. My wife had just received a promotion to a different job that she loved and was going to be making a lot more money. So, if I was going to make a career move, that was the time.

I began searching for different types of jobs and wanted to go back into sales or customer service. The problem is, no one wanted to hire me for those types of jobs. Every career fair I went to was happy to give me a list of manufacturing jobs but to change my career path, that was a totally different story.

After hundreds of job applications, a few meaningless jobs that were so underpaid that I wouldn’t wish them on my worst enemy, I finally landed a job at a rental car company. I thought that was the answer.

I received 2 promotions rather quickly within the company. I was helping to drive our customer service scores to the top of our area. I was promised the possibility of “side promotions”. (I couldn’t promote to management levels because I didn’t have a degree.) Those promises, of course, turned out to be lies.

I remember asking what fields I should focus my study so I could obtain the degree to promote up. I was told, “it doesn’t matter.” See, that’s one of the things many companies are starting to do, they don’t care WHAT your degree is in, they just want you to HAVE a degree.

At one point, I was working with a sportscaster, 2 biologists, and a filmmaker…at a rental car company. Something was seriously wrong with that picture.

After being frustrated for several months and getting shot down and blocked from any possibility of bettering myself, it was time to move on and look for something else.

So I began doing some serious research about legitimate ways to make money online, and to find a way to channel my passions, talents, and interests and build a life that I loved.

In the middle of my “job” careers, whether it was at the factory or the rental car company, I started to take stock of my situation.

  • No matter how much my wife and I brought in we were barely making it from paycheck to paycheck.
  • I would constantly wake up in a cold sweat of anxiety and panic wondering how the bills were going to get paid that week.
  • I was busting my butt to make the companies I worked for rich while I settled for scraps.
  • We were drowning in debt.
  • We owned all of this meaningless “stuff” that wasn’t making us any happier.
  • I just wasn’t happy. In fact, I was downright depressed and cringed every single morning that alarm went off, and I had to drag myself out of bed and do it all over again.

There had to be a better way. I had heard of all of these “entrepreneurs” who controlled their own life. They made their own work schedules. They made their own success happen. They were doing something they loved and the lines between work and play seemed to blur for them. I read stories of some people working 3 hours a day and others working 95 hours a week and they had no complaints either way.

They had more time with their families. More time to travel and go on vacation. More time to LIVE their life.

The more I researched, the more of these success stories I read. The more people I found that were living a better life. The more people who had finally gotten fed up and decided to hire themselves. The more people who finally said “ENOUGH! This is MY life. I control it! I have more potential and more to offer than ANY company will ever realize and acknowledge me for.”

I looked at myself and knew that I wanted to help others. I have learned so much over the years in different subjects and I knew that if I could just find a way to connect with people, I could truly help others and make a difference.

There had to be a way to obtain this. And there is.

After countless hours of combing through scams I finally came across an online education platform called Wealthy Affiliate.
